Product Detail
Tiger prawns are Australia's largest wild prawn and are found in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Western Australia. They grow to different sizes and have distinctive stripes that turn white and pink when cooked. Extremely popular in Australia with a delicious meat with a juicy yet distinct savory flavor that's akin to lobster! MSC Certified | Carbon Neutral Certified Wild Caught
Please Note: Prawns are delivered frozen. Is best to keep frozen until a few hours before consuming. To thaw, leave in the refrigerator for a few hours. Prawns thaw quickly. Once defrosted, black spots can begin to appear on the prawn which are ok but not attractive. If you plan to defrost and hold a couple days, it is advised to remove the heads as soon as possible as histamines start to release into the body which can affect the sweet flavor of the meat. Preparation: ? Pan-fry, stir-fry, grill, barbecue, kebabs ? Pairs well with butter, chili, garlic, herbs and citrus ? Their meaty texture and savory flavor are highly sought after by Japanese chefs, who prefer them in tempura
