Barramundi (Fresh)

Barramundi is part of the Sea Bass family and is native to the waters around Australia and Southeast Asia.  Also known as Asian Sea Bass, Akame, Australian Sea Bass and Giant Perch. It is similar to other firm, white-fleshed fish such as Sea Bass and Perch. Is also considered a 'superfood' as it packs a larger load of healthy Omega-3s than most of its white-fleshed counterparts.

Characteristics: 

• The pinkish flesh-toned meat cooks up snow-white.
• Ideal for all cooking methods. Can be sauteed, baked, fried or grilled. Is especially delicious in Thai curries.
• A 'family friendly' fish with few bones; which are removed before shipping.
• No muddy flavors.
