Barramundi (Fresh)

Saltwater Barramundi is native to the waters around Australia and Southeast Asia. A member of the sea bass family, it is also referred to as Asian sea bass, akame, Australian sea bass, and giant perch. It is similar to other firm, white-fleshed fish such as white sea bass and perch but has the honor of being considered a 'superfood' as it packs a larger load of healthy Omega-3s than most of its white-fleshed counterparts!

Characteristics: 

• The pinkish flesh-toned meat cooks up snow-white
• Ideal for all cooking methods. Can be sauteed, baked, fried or grilled and is especially delicious in Thai-style curries
