Seaweed Salad (Hiyashi Wakame)

Seaweed salad, also known as Hiyashi Wakame, is very popular in sushi bars. Enjoy on its own as a nutritious-packed meal or appetizer, or serve alongside sashimi, sushi or Asian soups. It's also adds a unique texture to all kinds of salads and is perfect for mixing into poke recipes!

This product ships frozen, in a vacuum-sealed 2.2 lb bag.

DEFROSTING AND PREPARATION TIP: To defrost the entire bag, simply place the bag in the refrigerator or in a bowl of cold water. If you would rather not eat all of the salad at once, defrost the bag briefly on the counter -- just enough so that you can run a knife through it. Portion what you need, e.g. cut through a third or half of the bag, and transfer that portion to a bowl or plastic bag and place in refrigerator to continue defrosting. Wrap the remainder of frozen salad in a few layers of plastic wrap and return to the freezer.
