This ocean-raised true Striped Bass has a clean, delicious flavor and a semi-firm texture. Not to be confused with other farm-raised freshwater striped bass which tend to have a muddy taste, this beautiful fish is ocean-raised from the pristine marine sanctuary of Isla Todos Santos in Ensenada, Baja California Mexico.
The nice fat content of this sushi grade fish allows for a variety of preparation methods, including sashimi, sushi, pan seared fillets, whole roasted and more. When cooked, the meat is white and has a flaky texture with a skin that crisps beautifully.
