Yarra Valley's sustainable growing techniques and ethical fish husbandry practices are world-class, backed by BAP (Best Aquaculture Practice) certification.
Located in the Yarra Valley region around two hours from Melbourne, the boutique freshwater aquaculture farms are gravity-fed by pristine alpine river systems and powered by solar, carrying sustainability throughout the complete process from hatchery to harvest and beyond. Fish are milked for roe entirely by hand, once per year, under a completely natural anesthetic of clove oil, and then gently placed back in their ponds to spawn again the following year.
All of Yarra Valley's products are packaged without additives. The result is superb-quality fish roe salted with premium salt that's bright, plump, flavorful, and flawless.
