Hamachi (yellowtail) is one of the most popular items on a sushi menu! Loved for its clean, buttery flavor, and fatty texture - use for sashimi, crudo, or your favorite sushi rolls. 

Our skinless, boneless hamachi loin portion is super-frozen and vacuum-packed in Japan, ensuring premium sashimi-grade quality. Each portion is 1.25-1.75 lbs, and the per piece price is based on the average weight. 

Defrosting and Preparation Tip: This sushi item can be portioned in a mostly frozen state with minimal effort with no adverse effect on its quality. Let thaw just barely - enough to rock a very sharp knife through the fish - and portion what you want. Continue to defrost the portion you plan to eat. Whatever portion(s) you don't plan to eat, rewrap tightly in several layers of plastic wrap and store in the coldest part of your freezer.
